This oval Detroit Tigers baseball sterling silver tray is from 1940, it measures 9 inches tall x 12-1/4 inches wide, and it weighs just over a half pound. The tray is engraved in the perimeter “To George & Virginia – Our Remembrance”, who were the owners of the popular NYC Ruby Foo’s restaurant, with the interior portion having 17 engraved facsimile signatures of the 1940 “American League Champion” Detroit Tigers. The players include Charlie Gehringer, School Boy Rowe, Dizzy Trout, Hal Newhouser, and Pete Fox etc. A unique one-of-a-kind piece of vintage baseball memorabilia.
